Back when I was on the mission, President Emery told us that the church had bought property to build two new chapels in the city. We were all so excited! There hasn't been an actual chapel built by the church there for a long time. Well, President Winegar just emailed us some photos of the first ground breaking. It's for the Detroit River Branch (which is a spanish-speaking branch) so I never actually served there, but it's still really exciting. This is huge progress for the church.

Here is the moment that apparently, everyone has been waiting for. I didn't realize that my blog got so much negative attention for my lack of new posts. I figured that the only reason people look at blogs is to see pictures of Makadie. Anyway, I'm now recommitting myself to the blogging world, and will try to keep this more updated. I can't promise loads of pictures though, because I am still stuck in the un-progressive world of film. I do keep meaning to scan some prints while I'm working, but haven't remembered to bring any pictures yet. So, school is going well, I'm enjoying my classes for the most part. A very exciting thing did happen yesterday when we got papers back in Advanced Media Writing. We'd been assigned a profile piece. This meant that we had to find a random person on campus, interview them, find the story unique to their life and write about it. Well, I got my paper back with a 94/100. To top that off, Bro.
