So, it has been a while since I wrote.  Sorry about that.  I've been following a few friends who still blog and I have to say...it's a bit intimidating.  Some of them are such better writers than I am.  Oh well, on with the show. In my last post I talked about Disneyland.  I also mentioned that we had bought tickets to go on an Alaskan Cruise this summer.  Well, I still have about 5,000 pictures to sort through from Alaska, but I am starting to narrow down the week before.  So this is from that. Despite having started a brand new job a month earlier, we decided to stick with our original plan of driving to Oregon, picking up Annette and Alita (who was there for a conference) and spending a week touring the Northwest before landing in Seattle to board the ship.  It was a great week and I now understand why people from Oregon are so proud of that fact.  It is GORGEOUS!!! I'm still a little confused of how I became such a Disneyland fan, I mean besides the fact that it is the happiest place on Earth. I went to Disneyland in High School with the band and it was one of the most unpleasant experiences I have had.  I got sick in the park and on the bus, some worker told me to take my glasses off for Space Mountain which resulted in a blind ride and a headache and those were some of the high points.  Let's just say it was not fun and I had no desire to ever go there again. Then Alita got it in her head about five or six years ago that we should go as a family.  Somehow she talked me, Mom and Dad all into spending our Thanksgiving Break there and I have been hooked ever since.  I LOVE Disneyland!!!! After years of talking about it, we finally made it to the Tulip Festival this year.   For some reason, Thanksgiving Point always seemed so far away.  Now that I work 20 minutes away, it seems a lot closer.  We should definitely go again. :)  It was a lot of fun and really beautiful.  I, of course, took too many pictures, so I thought I'd share some highlights with you - my loyal reader.
