Colorado Trip- Musuem of Nature and Science

I know it's been a while since I actually went to Colorado, but I have a strict policy on skipping ahead. That means that I can't blog any of my Yosemite pictures until I've done my Easter weekend, so I decided to stop procrastinating.

My weekend in Colorado was fantastic. I guess it's hard to go wrong when I'm visiting my favorite brother, sister-in-law and niece. Coleman and Roni are great hosts and anyone who hasn't been out to visit them should serious rethink that. Of course, the only people who read my blog are immediate family members, and they've all been there. So i guess you'll all just have to go again.

When Coleman asked me what I wanted to I said "go to the zoo." I'm sure this doesn't come as a shock to anyone who even remotely knows me. I love animals it is true, but I had another reason for wanting to go to the zoo. Makadie loves animals too (I knew she was going to take after me) and know a lot of their names and corresponsding noises. This is so cute!!!! I know Annette was excited to have Makadie say her name, but I'd take a good "hip-po" over my name any day. Unfortunatly, the weekend I was there was FREEZING. Although it was April and Easter weekend, a time that is suppossed to be filled with green grass, flowers, and summer dresses, Denver was more like Detroit in January. This meant no zoo. So instead we went to the Denver Musuem of Nature and Science. It was so cool. The animals weren't alive, but they were still pretty impressive, and I got to see some that I've only ever seen in books.
For example, an albatrose.

I realize most of you are probably saying "what? it's just a seagul." But it was about the size of Coleman, just a tad bit bigger than a seagull.

There was also an Elephant Seal. They are just as ugly as the pictures in books.

The most exciting was my first white seal. I almost teared up. Of course that might have been a sneeze, but oh well. :)

Makadie has also decided that she likes to talk on the phone. Why she never does it for any of us, I don't know, but she did enjoy it at the museum.

I always knew Coleman had big ears.

I thought this was going to be a bad picture, but it turned out really cool. So in case you were wondering, I've recently gone on an African safari. :)

Makadie and I took a picture with a pack of wolves. They were quite cold, and my bum got wet. Makadie, of course, was fine.

It really was a fantastic musuem. I highly recommend it. :)
