Treehouse Museum

Coleman, Roni and the girls came to visit us in August. Well, Roni and Coleman actually came to go to the temple with some friends, but we weren't going to complain. :) They spend Saturday in Salt Lake with their friends, but left Anika and Makadie with us. It was a lot of fun to be able to spend the day with the girls.

About a year ago, Mom and I went to the Treehouse Museum here in Ogden. It's a children's museum that is completely based on books. It's really a lot of fun and the whole time we were there, we were thinking how much fun it would be to bring our own kids. Well, this time we finally got to. Makadie had a great time racing from one spot to another with me chasing after her. Anika was a little more subdued, but she also had a great time.

Dad spent most of his time with Anika. They were having a good time.

Makadie really liked the school house. She was good at writing on the chalk board.

Anika really liked this big map they had of Utah. We think she liked the feel of the material it was made out of.
The whole time we were there, she was determined not to smile. We were all working overtime trying to get her to crack. :)
Grandma Nada, Grandpa Wayne and their girls!
Makadie was content to drive us.
She also really liked the chess set. Mom told her that she needed to move all her pieces to the other side of the board, one at a time and taking turns. I was very impressed, she stayed with it the whole time. She even wanted to play again.
She also LOVED the music room. We were even got to go to Story Time in this room.

Makadie gave the big chess board a whirl...
Anika just wouldn't smile
...but she still preferred the little one.
It was a really fun outing and we can't wait to take the girls again, especially if Anika promises to smile for pictures! :)
