Wicked!!! This time in Arizona

A few months ago, Alita called me to ask my opinion on something. This was of course a huge shock to me since I don't think she does that on anything but electronics. :) This time, she was wondering if January was too soon to see Wicked again since she and Annette had seen it when it came to Phoenix a few years ago. I told her that it's never too early to see Wicked and while she was buying tickets, she needed to get me one too. Well, the more we thought about it, the more we realized that Mom should come to. So we decided that this year's Martin Luther King Jr. weekend should be a "girls vacation"

Here are some pictures of our visit to Wicked. It was down in Tuscon this year and the first time any of us had been to this theater. It was on one of the Arizona college campuses and was pretty fun.

Since this weekend was also celebrating Alita's birthday (even if a few weeks late), we surprised her with decorations and a present in Mom and Annette's hotel room before we went to the show.

Her present was the awesomest thing EVER! I made her a CareBear book with pictures of the family. It's really cute and is a regular storybook, only specific to Alita.

And we had to take separate pictures because none of us ever travel with a tripod. :)

We ended up sitting back pretty far. Since we hadn't been in the theater before, we didn't know what to expect.

It was still a fantastic show.

We all had a great time. Mom did decide that she prefers theater with super-titles (go Logan :)) so we might have to work on that. :)

One Year!

For those of you who may not know, today is my one year anniversary. It has been exactly one year since my graduation from BYU -Idaho and Rexburg . That's right, December 20, 2006 was the memorable day that I said good-bye to Rexburg and the campus that had been my home for too many years and entered the real world. All right, Ogden UT isn't exactly the "real world" but in honor of my anniversary , I thought I would reminisce for a moment and do a recap of my year. DISNEYLAND!!!!

I'm sure you are all aware that we went to Disneyland for Thanksgiving. I'm making this assumption because four of the six people who regularly read my blog were part of the expedition. We had a great time and here's a little summary of our trip. I was a little apprehensive about spending that much money to go to a theme park. I went to Disneyland when I was a sophomore in High School and had about as much fun as I do at the doctor's office (and no, the doctor's office is not my happiest place on earth.) I knew lots of this had to do with the company and the fact that I got pretty sick in the park and on the way home, but there was still a part of me who attributed it to the fact that I'm not really an "amusement park person." But the girls did make it sound like fun, so I decided to give the park one more chance. Well, I'm certainly glad that I did. It was a blast!!! Colorado Trip- Musuem of Nature and Science

I know it's been a while since I actually went to Colorado, but I have a strict policy on skipping ahead. That means that I can't blog any of my Yosemite pictures until I've done my Easter weekend, so I decided to stop procrastinating. My weekend in Colorado was fantastic. I guess it's hard to go wrong when I'm visiting my favorite brother, sister-in-law and niece. Coleman and Roni are great hosts and anyone who hasn't been out to visit them should serious rethink that. Of course, the only people who read my blog are immediate family members, and they've all been there. So i guess you'll all just have to go again. When Coleman asked me what I wanted to I said "go to the zoo." I'm sure this doesn't come as a shock to anyone who even remotely knows me.
