It's days like this that make me happy I live where I live. I didn't think I could ever replace the love in my heart I have for a sunset over Mt. Grant. But a rainbow over our Ogden Mountains comes pretty close.
I'm trying to find a new look for my blog. Please give me some feedback on what looks good and what looks like me. I like the darker background for the pictures since I think it makes them look better, but i need some more opinions. Please HELP!!!
When we all descended into Reno to start our family reunion, we decided to start things with style and visit Circus Circus. Funny enough, this was my third time to Circus Circus in a year. I don't think I had statistics like that even when I lived in Hawthorne. Anyway, here are some pictures from dinner and the Midway. Anika was more interested in playing with food at the buffet then eating it. She did manage to spill a glass of fruit punch all over her though. Yeah, wet, sticky and red. Coleman enjoyed some green jello... We were able to catch a couple of different Circus acts. They were the same group of six Chinese sisters both times but once they were on unicycles (which I had already seen) and the other was with regular bikes. It was still pretty cool. Makadie loved playing midway games. She was even more excited when she found out that if you win a game, you get a prize. Anika enjoyed the prizes too. This was one of our favorite games You can probably guess who won this r...
So, most of you who look at my blog probably know by now that my best friend Amanda is getting married the first week in May. I am very excited for her. Her fiance is a great guy and they are bound to be ridiculously happy together. But to be truly honest, I do have the typical feelings that are normal to any single girl when her friend gets married. One of these unfortunate side effects is that I keep thinking what it would be like, and what plans I would make if I was getting married. Well, one of my plans is now definite. I have found my wedding cake. Last night was Pack 214's Blue and Gold Banquet and Cake Auction. Well, the third cake to come in last night was made specifically for me. It had to have been, because it was perfect! So for a paltry sum of $65, I am the proud owner of my very own Polar Bear Cake!!! The polar bears and penguins are made out of marzipan. Is this not the cutest cake you have ever seen in your life?!?!?!?
