Hogle Zoo!!!!!
So here are some pictures from our jaunt to Hogle Zoo.
We wanted to get some of the classic Hogle Zoo pictures with Makadie, but when Mom took her to drink out of the Lion Fountain, she wouldn't have any of it.
Then later after she saw another girl get a drink, she turned to Annette and said "it's not real" and then she was anxious to get her own drink.
This was actually my first trip to a zoo since I got my digital camera. So it was nice being able to take as many pictures without a certain mother telling me to stop wasting film!
Makadie understands the concept of smile better than her Grandpa Wayne
I actually don't think I took this picture. I'm thinking that it was Annette
Golden Lion Tamarins are adorable
Makadie and Me (dang I look good in tye-dye :) )
Here's a lynx. Not bad for shooting through glass.
I thought this sign was hilarious. Would you really need a written warning to move? If so, you probably deserve what you get.
They had the "Ghost of the Bayou" which is a white alligator. This is the second time we've seen one of these, the first was about fifteen years ago in San Fransisco. This one was just as motivated.
In case you haven't noticed, I've tried to space out the animal pictures with ones of the family. This is a ploy to make sure that you all look at my fantastic animal pictures.
And I thought Coleman had big feet. This was all we could see of the tiger.
This is a Red Panda. Isn't he cute?!?!?!
We spent a lot of time with the giraffes. I ended up with way too many pictures, so seriously, if any of you decide you want to decorate a room in giraffe, please, let me know.
Here's one poking his head out to say hello.
I didn't think that a giraffe's knee could bend like that. It was pretty trippy.
Family.
They have a baby at Hogle Zoo, and he still isn't quite fluid in his motions, you can kind of tell his clumsiness from this picture.
Makadie and Grandma.
Here's the baby with an adult, it gives you an idea of the size difference
Here's a cute little desert kitty. They are so cute, I just want to bring one home. Makadie playing tiger with her Grandma and Grandpa
A pretty pinkish/red bird.
Roni and Makadie hanging out with some tigers.
Coleman being a dork. :)
Well, it was an awesome trip to the zoo. I'm so excited to go to Hogle Zoo for my birthday this year, I just know it's going to be an awesome experience.
In the meantime, I suggest you enjoy the pictures slowly, seeing how frequently I update my blog. :)
